Our Story

Sukiya Sushi & Japanese Buffet was born from a love of Traditional Japanese Cuisine. Japanese Sushi Chef Ricky saw an opportunity to stretch and expand Utah’s palate through their own sushi creations and Asian-inspired dishes. In 2024, he opened the first SUKIYA in Midvale. The second will open in September, 2024 in Orem.

What We Serve

We are committed to becoming the best buffet in Utah, serves everything All You Can Eat(OVER 150 ITEMS): 1. All the buffet includes desserts, fruits, drinks(coke product, green tea, Boba milk tea...), Japanese cuisine, deep fried(includes soft shell crab), seafood(includes snow crab/stone crab, oysters..), 15 different Sashimi, Nigiris, appetizers, total over 90 items on the bar.   2. Fifty Eight different sushi rolls on the menu which are ordered and made fresh to the table, you will have the freshest and best sushi rolls.  3. Adult Specials include Live lobster or Premium Sashimi Plate(King Salmon/Toro/bluefin tuna/Amaebi) or A5 Wagyu with Abalones.

Because SUKIYA flies in fresh seafood daily from around the world(all the fish sashimi, crabs, lobsters). Some of them are still alive before you have it on the table, like lobsters, stone crabs, Sea Clams…We focus on serving the freshest and best quality food for our customers: Our A5 Wagyu beef is the top grade beef in the world which is only produced by Japan and we get shipments every week from Japan; Our Bluefin Tuna was ordered from Spain which is the area produce the best quality bluefin tuna; Our live lobsters and stone crabs ordered all from Canada and we get shipments three times a week to guarantee they are all alive before we put on your table.
